What are Opening Balances?
Opening balances are the account balances at the point when you start using Ledgr, typically from your previous accounting system. Enter debit amounts in the Debit column and credit amounts in the Credit column. Debits and credits must balance (equal zero difference) before you can save. Asset and expense accounts normally carry debit balances; liability, equity and income accounts normally carry credit balances.
